Celebration for Angela's one-month-old 彌月之喜

Angela was one-month old on her first Christmas day. She received a lot of gifts from her relatives and Daddy's classmates and coworkers. She is so blessed to have best wishes from many people as well.

Gift from Auntie Beverly 嬰兒背巾

Daddy's classmate, Beverly, flew from Washington D.C. to visit Angela, Daddy and Mommy during Christmas. She brought a pouch as a gift for Angela and hope Daddy and Mommy could carry Angela safely.

Feeding and sleep schedule 建立作息時間

Over the past two weeks, baby Angela was a night cryer as well as a day sleeper. For this reason, Mommy was thinking about how to adjust Angela's schedule by setting up feeding timetable. Here were some changes that Mommy had made.
First, woke Angela up at 8:00 a.m. in the morning and fed her fixed amount of 3 ounce (90c.c.)breastmilk every four hours.
Second, tried not to let Angela sleep after 7:00 p.m.
Third, bathed Angela around 9:00 p.m. and thereafter fed as much breastmilk as Angela could eat.
Four, let Angela sleep between Mommy and Daddy and kept her warm during the night.
Hopefully, these could help Angela establish a regular sleep and feeding timetable in few weeks.

Taking a bath 洗澡囉

Angela is bathed by Grandma every day. However, baby Angela is alway scared and fear whenever she was put in the bath tub. She seems afraid to get drowned and her reaction to bathing is to hold Grandma's sleeve thight and stared at Mommy, just like the picture.

Similac 配方奶

Angela在醫院時，護士都給Angela吃Stmilac配方奶，出院回家後，Daddy特地為Angela準備了相同品牌的配方奶，以補足Mommy奶水不夠時，還能填飽小寶貝的肚子。

通常在半夜時，Angela只要一肚子餓，就會醒來，哭得很大聲，這時，只要打開易開罐的配方奶，約60c.c.(剛好是目前Angela一次的食量)，馬上可以餵食餓肚子的小寶貝，並讓她很快填飽肚子，非常的方便。

Angela和Mommy回到家已經有１個星期了。雖然大部分的時間Angela都在睡眠中渡過，不過這幾天Houston的天氣相當好，每天接近１０點時早晨陽光就會照射到房間裡，提醒Angela該起牀了。今天趁著Angela吃飽飽，還有精神時，Mommy幫Angela照了幾張特寫的照片，準備email給大家看看Angela滿１週的模樣。

Angela 似乎也知道Mommy在幫她照相，很賣力的配合將眼睛看著鏡頭，雖然大家都知道剛初生的嬰兒視力是很模糊的，不過看到Angela作出很多可愛的動作，還頗有像在拍攝寫真集的樣子呢！

This week Angela received best wishes and congratulations from auntie Susan and her family. They also gave Angela clothings as well as cash gift.

Angela's first week at home 家庭生活第一週

Parenting is never an easy thing especial for the first time Mom and Dad in the first week. Since Angela came home, Grandma、Mommy and Daddy have become very busy. The whole families are all learning and practicing basic skills for caring a baby. These skills includes changing diapers, cleaning bottles, bottle feeding, burping, bathing and comforting baby, etc. Apart from these skills, Mommy has to learn skills for nursing a baby, such as breastfeeding, pumping and storing breastmilk. Grandma needs to cook meals for the families and boils herbal medicine for Mommy. Daddy has to work and do all grocery shopping including baby stuffs--diapers, wipers, bottle clean set, baby clothing, so and so.

While barely having time for his/herself this week, everyone is happy to see Angela's growing.

Reunion with Uncle I-Chuan 表舅宜全 來訪

在Angela回到家裡兩三天後，表舅宜全特地從Dallas開車到Houston來看剛初生的Angela，宜全表舅除了送紅包外，還買了一件很可愛又保暖的粉紅色Polo兔裝給Angela。Mommy今天特地讓Angela穿上，拍照留念。

Discharge from Hospital 出院了!

今天是Thanksgiving，Angela與Mommy 和 Daddy要出院回家囉。不知道Angela是否也已經準備好了呢？

為了要迎接Angela出院，Daddy一清早就到醫院的禮品部採購了一套全新的嬰兒衣帽組，好讓Angela穿新衣，戴新帽回家。 Mommy在房間裡一面等待醫護人員將Angela的出生資料及健康狀況表填妥，一面想著回家後要怎麼照顧小寶貝的事，Mommy心中又是興奮，又是緊張。興奮的是全家人與Angela相處的時間變多了，緊張的是不知道哺乳和洗澎澎的事情會不會很難上手。
大約十點多鐘，醫護人員將Angela推進來，順便再教一次Mommy如何哺乳，雖然Mommy的技術有待加強，不過Angela倒是很認真的配合，讓Mommy和Daddy鬆了一口氣。

等了將近一個多小時，小兒科醫生終於來為Angela作出院前的體檢了，此時Angela仍然在沈睡中，體檢通過後，Mommy在醫護人員的陪同下，抱起Angela坐上輪椅到醫院大門口，和Daddy出院回家，展開另一個新生活的開始。

I am coming-Birth Announcement 弄瓦之喜

足足等了40週，期盼已久的Angela，在醫護人員的催生下，「噗」出來了。Daddy很緊張地剪斷臍帶，護士趕緊將小寶貝抱到Mommy胸前，讓我們見面。
Angela 是個健康可愛的小寶貝，體型不大，活動力卻是十足喔，哭聲也很響亮，而且還有個小酒窩ㄋ！

Dear all,

We would like to share our good news with you that our first baby girl, Angela, was born at 11:16am yesterday (11/25/08) weighted in at 6 lbs and 9.6 oz (2994 grams) and measured 19 ¾ inches (50 centimeters). Both Mother and Angela are doing well and will go home on Thursday.

Harriet and Lewis are so happy to see their healthy and sweet baby coming out. It is a blessing and a gift from God. Praise the Lord!
