First time to pee in the potty 第一次使用小馬桶

今天小恩恩第一次主動坐上她的小馬桶成功地撒了尿。為了鼓勵她的進步，Mommy和外婆都鼓掌歡呼，並熱烈地給小恩恩一個大的擁抱。


話說這個小馬桶是Mommy 今年4月的時候買的，小恩恩看到時覺得很好奇，經常站立在上面玩或是打開蓋子腳踩在裡頭蹲著玩。Mommy和外婆曾經嘗試要訓練她如厠的計畫一直沒有成功，每次要小恩恩坐上去，不到3秒鐘，一下就起身跑走。就這樣小馬桶放了將近半年，只能算是小恩恩的玩具。

這幾天或許是到學校的關係，小恩恩似乎有意願學習班上的同學上厠所的樣子了，希望小恩恩能愈來愈進步，早日向尿布說Bye-bye。

Ready for self feeding. 吃飯自己來！

Angela最近對於控制自己的手愈來愈進步了，餐具拿得比過去幾個月穩了，今天晚上Mommy第一次看到小恩恩自己手握湯匙，從碗裡將飯舀起來送到口中，雖然動作還未到十分完美，但已經有明顯進步，外婆很滿意的稱讚小寶貝「好棒！」，希望Daddy看到小恩恩的表現，也會很高興。

Singing my first nursery rhyme 妹妹背著洋娃娃

Angela has loved to listen to nursery rhymes, both in Chinese and in English, since she was 8-month old. Recently her language ability has significantly improved and she is able to repeat two or three words when Mommy sings songs to her. Sometimes she can also tap the rhyme of the song's melody and dance around to familiar songs. Recently, she has liked to hear a popular Chinese nursery rhyme named "A little girl carries a doll" when she asks to be carried African style.
This weekend Angela had a lot of fun playing with Uncle LiChin. Uncle Lichin amused Angela with her favorite song "Little girl carries a doll" while carrying her on his back.

18-month check up 一歲半的檢查

時間過得好快，小恩恩已經1歲半了，Mommy帶小恩恩到醫院作體檢，並打日本腦炎疫苗。醫生阿姨為小恩恩檢查時，小恩恩很聽話，要她嘴張開，她就開，要她舉手，她就舉手，相當合作，醫生阿姨很滿意，還給了小恩恩一個海綿寶寶的貼紙，獎勵她。
這次小恩恩的體檢結果仍然是居後段班，15%-50%，Mommy告訴醫生阿姨小恩恩經常食慾不佳，有時只喝奶，吃飯時也不太愛咀嚼，醫生說如果這種情形很嚴重的話，可以改喝亞培小安素，讓喝下去的奶可以供多一點熱量。Mommy 希望小恩恩不僅活潑好動，也要多吃多喝長得頭好壯壯才好。
小恩恩開始學說話，這次檢查完後，還不忘了和醫生阿姨說bye bye，很有禮貌。

Gobble down the meat!會啃排骨了

To Mommy's surprise, Angela is no longer satisfied with her ground food, but eager to gabble down the meat with her 8 little teeth. Awesome!


Since Angela was 1 year old, she has been fed with congee, porridge, egg yolk, vegetable purees, fish and ground meat for a varied diet. Just few months ago, she learned to grab food, put into mouth and sucked it. Now, Angela wants to eat a chuck of meat with her little teeth. Hopefully, the meat can be fully digested.

Angela has been notoriously difficult about eating what Mommy wants her to eat. She showed interests to all kinds of food on Mommy's plate rather than on her own plate, and liked running around during feeding.

Walking around! 開始學步走耶！

小恩恩開始學步走了，現在小恩恩最新的運動就是推著家裡的沙發和娃娃車在客廳裡到處走，看到新奇的事物就停下來摸摸看、嚐嚐看。有時還會跑到廚房裡玩烤箱，微波爐，真得是標準的好奇寶寶。

Bite, bite, bite 咬咬咬

Angela is about nine month old and starts teething. At this stage, Angela not only enjoys sucking on her fingers but also loves to taste new things. Whatever she finds or grabs in her hands, she'd put it into her month. Mommy see Angela licks and bites all the time. Here are some interesting pictures taken last week.

Sprouting teeth 長牙了

After Angela has been able to stand, she achieved another baby developmental milestone--spouting teeth. Her first and second teeth sprouted from bottom together a week ago.

I am standing and climbing up! 站起來，向上爬

Angela has been practicing standing and climbing up after her crawling. She is so into everything and wants to grab it as well.

Crawl here and there 爬上爬下

Angela has started crawing here and there since she learned to shuffle on her tummy. Currently, she loves to crawl from the bed down to the floor, looking for toys or things interesting to her. She also crawls on the sofa, attemping furniture-assisted standing position. However, until now Angela does not have enough strength to fully control her hands and legs. So she needs to be watched carefully to prevent little bumps and bruises on her head.

Crawling around 爬爬爬

Angela has been practicing crawling since she back from Changhau last weekend. The day care provider told Mommy that Angela improved her crawling a lot. This morning Mommy gave Angela a crawl test that she has to get the target white bear. To Mommy's surprise, Angela did crawl well and really fast. Way to go, Angela! :)

Ready for the first crawl 準備要爬行囉!

Crawling is an extraordinary milestone in a baby's development, and a major step in her growing independence. Suddenly there's a whole new world of places to see and things to touch as she gains mobility and learns to explore.

While it is not an easy task for baby Angela to crawl currently, she has been on the move since her six month old! Not only can she do bottom shuffling (scooting around on her bottom, using a hand behind and a foot in front to propel herself), but also slide on her stomach. Mommy and Grandma believe Angela is ready for her first crawl.

Awesome! It was the first time that Angela successfully crawled rather than rolled her body to get her target black bag. Hopefully, she'll figure out that pushing off with her knees gives her just the boost she needs to go mobile soon.

Babble 發聲

Anglea is happily cooing and babbling. What a sweet and pure voice.

Breastmilk plus congee奶水加粥水

Since this week, Angela has been fed with breastmilk plus congee.

Angela's current eating schedule and the amount of formula is about 5-6 times a day with 4.5 ounce (130c.c.-140c.c.) per bottle, which total is about 680c.c. to 750 c.c. In order to increase Angela's appetite, Mommy gave Angela's day care provider about 400 c.c. breastmilk and 150 c.c. congee so that she could mix them approximately 70-30 for feeding Angela. The provider told Mommy that Angela likes the new drinks and eats more than before. Mommy was quite happy with that and hopefully that Angela would keep her good appetite of it.

Sucking and teether 小手固齒器

Anglea, the little grabber, is working feverishly at improving her grasp by latching onto anything and everything that she can get her little hands around. She wants to touch, hold, turn, shake, and put in her mouth everything within her reach.
小恩恩對自己的手已經愈來愈有控制力了，前幾個星期還只是會端詳自己的手，現在不僅會吸手指，也可以將手中的東西很準確往嘴裡塞，即使是毛毯也不例外。



Angela is over five-month old, and is able to slightly control her little hands. She starts to suck her fingers and grabs thing to put into her month frequently. Mommy is wondering if Angela is going to sprout a tooth. So, Mommy bought a hand teether for Angela two weeks ago and hopefully, it will helps soothe tender gums when she bites the teether.
Mommy 買了一個小手固齒器，一開始小恩恩還不太會握，也抓不住，不過經過了一星期後，小恩恩已經可以自己玩弄小固齒器了，看她咬得不亦樂乎，很有趣吧。

Angela's first soild food 開始吃副食品囉

雖然大部分的醫生或有經驗的父母都建議要等到嬰兒六個月大再給寶寶添加副食品，不過看到Angela對外婆和Mommy的用餐那麼有興趣，這個週末，Mommy決定讓Angela嚐嚐香蕉的味道。雖然從照片看起來，Angela好像真得再吃，但實際上，是在舔湯匙的居多，並沒有真得在吃。不過，從Angela的表情研判，她似乎是很高興的在品嚐香蕉泥，看來，或許再過不久，就可以正式為Angela添加副食品了。

This weekend Angela had her first soild food- mashed banana.

Angela is near five-month-old now. Recently she has appeared interested in food when Mommy and Grandma are eating, Mommy thought it would be a sign to let Angela try foods other than breastmilk. Because solid foods should be introduced slowly to allow a baby time to get used to each new taste and texture, Mommy only let Angela have a small bite of mashed banana. As you can see from the photo, Angela was happy to taste the food and enjoyed it quite much. :)

Rolling from stomach to back 第一次翻身

Angela會翻身了！ 雖然目前只會從正面翻至背面，還是讓Mommy和Daddy興奮不已。

Angela's four and half month old now. She's been practicing rolling her body for a week. Last night, Mommy was happy to see Angela rolling from stomach to back. Angela was smiling after she made her first rolling. Once Angela learns how to roll both sides of her body, she is able to reach her first childhood milestone. When Mommy told Daddy about Angela's rolling, Daddy was surprised at the news and can't wait to see his little baby's performance.

Let's take a look at Angela's motor skill of rolling. She did a good job, didn't she?

Raise head, hands and feet 手舞足蹈

Angela 從一開始就是相當具有活動力的嬰兒，除了在睡眠以外，經常都是在比手畫腳，十分忙碌。滿四個月後，Angela最喜歡的運動，就是趴在牀上，雙手撐著牀舖，用力將自己的上半身抬高，再將頭抬至90度，維持2、3秒後，再將手與腳離開牀舖，開始舞動雙手與雙腳。Mommy看到Angela的這個動作，真得相當佩服，就想起以前在學瑜珈時，這個動作，算是有相當難度的，因為它同時訓練到人體的背部、腹部及臀部的肌肉，另外手臂的力量也同時被訓練到。
看看Angela的表演後，是不是很令人佩服呢？

Refuse bottle-feeding 拒絕奶瓶

小恩恩最近不知道是怎麼了，愈來愈不喜歡吸奶瓶了。有時候一看到Mommy拿奶瓶要餵她時，就開始發出怪聲音，若Mommy強迫她喝奶的話，就生氣開始哭，一直等到哭累了才肯吃奶，不然就是要Mommy親自哺乳，才願吃奶，讓Mommy傷透腦筋，為什麼Angela吃奶的習慣和在美國的時候完全不同。Mommy請教了其他的同事，才知道小寶貝可能是到了厭奶期。Daddy知道這消息也有點不解。目前Mommy只好增加親自哺乳的次數，好讓Angela得到足夠的奶量，以免營養缺乏而影響發育。Mommy真希望Angela能恢復像以前一樣有定時定量吃奶的好習慣，好繼續成長茁壯。

後記：Mommy在網路上找到解決拒喝奶瓶的方法，決定要試一試。

Poo and pee 終於排便了

今天1月3日Angela終於排便了。距離上一次排便的時間是去年12月22日，共計12天。前幾天Daddy和Mommy實在很擔心Angela是不是有便袐的問題，還頻頻打電話回彰化問婆婆及姑姑應該如何處理。Daddy前兩三天還要Mommy用Vaseline幫小寶貝刺激肛門，好幫助排便，可惜，好像沒什麼效果。Mommy也打電話問小兒科醫生Dr. Wei，但Dr. Wei說沒關係，新生兒排便的時間都不固定，只說要Mommy再觀察一、二天看看，還好和Dr. Wei聯絡後沒幾天，Angela就poo了一堆出來，poo得尿布衣服大腿都是，雖然讓Mommy清理了好一陣，但也總算讓Daddy和Mommy放心了。
